What's about Scouts and Horsemanship?
I think they are also very important, these are the only techs I've already maxed.

hmm, guys I'm not sure if you're right.
When I think back, I started in Alpha 4, I was annoyed that I realized the benefits of scouting too late.

But all in all everybody has his own experience and his own strategy, and the guide gives a very good overview about the important researches.
