my scouts keep disappearing

Please assist me in this very annoying matter. I send my scouts to wolfs or bandit camps and they disappear. When I click the report to check the scouted castle, the message says - target no longer valid. And scouts are gone. *? Please help

Your Scouts have been killed. Another player has killed the Wolf Lair in the meantime -

Have you tried sending more Scouts ?
