This sounds like dead map.

why they dont have to id? Nobody on map is fast timing 5-6 cpt armys?

You missed the point Beowulfking......if a player knows what kind of attack is coming, ie, a pillage or ransack, there is no need for the player to ID but, once he knows it's going to be a Cap or a Raze, then the player knows to throw up some ID and defend like there's no tomorrow....what SR is going on about is the unfair advantage players have with the ALERT system that FF is doing nothing about. The ALERT system literally informs the player the type of attack (and you can have many captains going to one villa just to pillage btw) that is incoming whereby the player can decide whether the villa needs ID or not...totally unfair because the usual reaction of players is to throw up ID straight away because all they see is the Captains and not what the attack is going to do.

YOU are missing the point: The original claim was FALSE. It doesn't help you much to know that a timed attack is a cap or raze if sufficient attacks to guarantee success have already been launched before you can insert id.

I agree that it is unfair to give the target information on the kind of attack if that info is not available through the standard interface. But that is a different question than the simple falsity of the claim that a player as described never needs to id.

It ISN'T false, as the OP is saying the Discord Alert system gives an unfair advantage as the player knows what type of attack is coming.

If there are a row of attacks incoming from a villa and, regardless whether it's a Pillage, Attack, Raze or Capture, the alerted player can decide without doubt whether they will be able to successfully defend it or not before choosing whether to use a monk to ID (or to even Excom if the village is definitely going to be captured).

If a player doesn't know what kind of attack it is, ie, it could be Captains just to pillage, then the player will probably use FP to ID the villa for no good reason.

Basically, if FF wanted to make a heap more money, they could incorporate this feature into a TOKEN which would allow all players to have access to this feature if they wanted it because many players do use the Discord Alert system.
