Why a wait time to Convert villages captured from AI?

Just curious... why is there a wait time for converting village types captured from AI in this world? If the AI captures one of our villages... it is instantly converted to one of their empty villas. Why do we have to wait?

It would even be a great card or token feature idea as well. I get it in the PvP worlds. You want to give the player who lost the village a chance to recapture before someone converts it and wipes it out... doesnt make sense on AI captured villages though. I am sitting on two salt villages right now.. one of them is one that was my fully built highland just a day ago that I recaptured and have to wait 2 days to start to rebuild
