EU Map Preview

Hi everyone,

As has been previously posted a preview of the EU Map in all its glory can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/shkeurohd

Some gripes with the current county names have been brought up which we will be changing before launch tomorrow.

The changes we are making include...
SWEDEN
Skåne will be renamed as Götaland
Västmanland will be renamed as Svealand
Norrbotten will be renamed as Norrland
Värmland will be renamed as Dalarna

DENMARK
Syddanmark will be renamed as Jylland
The Province of "Region Syddanmark" will be renamed as "Region Jylland"

NETHERLANDS
Drenthe will be renamed as Gelre
Zuid-Holland will be renamed as Holland
Noord-Brabant will be renamed as Brabant

HUNGARY
THe 3 counties that make up Hungary are also 3 provinces. The 3 provinces are named Dunantùl, Duna-Tisza Köze & Tiszàntùl. As such, the counties will be renamed as such...
Gyor-Moson-Sopron will be renamed as Dunantùl Megye
Bacs-Kiskun will be renamed as Duna-Tisza Köze Megye
Borsod-Abauj-Zemplen will be renamed as Tiszàntùl Megye

FINLAND
Lapin will be renamed as Lapin Lääni
Oulun will be renamed as Oulun Lääni
Länsi-Suomen will be renamed as Länsi-Suomen Lääni
Itä-Suomen will be renamed asItä-Suomen Lääni
(Province) Lappi will be renamed as Pohjois-Suomi
(Province) Etelä-Suomen will be renamed as Etelä-Suomi

BULGARIA
Област Монтана will be renamed as Област Враца
Област Ловеч will be renamed as Област Велико Търново
Област Разград will be renamed as Област Варна
Област Хасково - Област Пловдив

ESTONIA
Ida-Virumaa will be renamed as Harjumaa

PORTUGAL
Alentejo will be renamed as Douro
Região Norte will be renamed as Estremadura
Castelo Branco will be renamed as Beiras
Distrito de Faro will be renamed as Alentejo

GREECE
Περιφέρεια Κρήτη will be renamed as Κρήτη
Περιφέρεια Πελοπόννησος will be renamed as Πελοπόννησος
Περιφέρεια Στερεά Ελλάδα will be renamed as Στερεά Ελλάδα
Περιφέρεια Ηπείρος will be renamed as Θεσσαλία
Περιφέρεια Κεντρική Μακεδονία will be renamed as Κεντρική Μακεδονία
Περιφέρεια Ανατολική Μακεδονία και Θράκη will be renamed as Ανατολική Μακεδονία και Θράκη

GERMANY
Zentral will be renamed as Sachsen

CZECH
Kraj Vysocina will be renamed as Jihomoravský kraj

NORWAY
Sør-Trøndelag will be renamed as Trøndelag

Please note: Due to it being late in development, no borders will be changed, citites moved or re-named. We are only willing to rename counties and provinces where we deem it is appropriate to do so.

Mestna Občina Maribor is 2 largest municipality in Slovenia
I do not know how you can name the country like that the name of the country is Slovenia
on the map it looks like Slovenia so it is Slovenia

In addition to sharing in the province there are 12 statistical regions:

Pomurska regija

Yes, it is in Slovenia. Mestna Občina Maribor is the County, not Country name.

Hello,

I would like to propose some changes for ROMANIA too.

The Provinces of Romania should be like in this image:


I will name each region starting from the North going to the South.
1. Maramures ( province capital: Baia-Mare );
2. Bucovina ( province capital: Cernăuți );
3. Moldova ( province capital: Iași );
4. Transilvania ( province capital: Cluj-Napoca );
5. Crisana ( province capital: Oradea );
6. Banat ( province capital: Timișoara );
7. Oltenia ( province capital: Craiova );
8. Muntenia ( province capital: București );
9. Dobrogea ( province capital: Constanța ).

București is also the capital of Romania.

If you could add every province from the list would be great, this is 70% more accurate than what you added.

Anyway,for the counties, you should know that there are 41 counties, the counties are written with White on the same map that I added above.

If you are going to take in consideration what I just said and wish me to provide you more informations let me know.

why UK is not like the other worlds map ?

You could make the map more historically accurate by dividing Spain into two countries: The Crown of Aragon, including Aragon, Catalunya and Valencia... and the Crown of Castille, which would include the rest of the Spanish regions. This might also make this part of the map more fun because Spain is very big, so having 3 smaller countries in that area rather than a small one (Portugal) and a big one (Spain) will probably make it more interesting for players in that area to fight each others rather than join together into one house.

i suggest to rename some bulgarian province

Област Монтана - Област Враца - cuz Vraca is the bigest city there and have more big history from montana !
Област Ловеч - Област Велико Търново - the old capital of Bulgaria !
Област Разград - Област Варна - the sea capital of Bulgaria
Област Хасково - Област Пловдив - one of the bigest city in Bulgaria
