I am sure that if FF thought such a system would work they would use it. The problem is that by supposedly leveling the playing field you eliminate one of the main game providers, other players that do not pay anything.

It is one thing to pay money in a game like this you find yourself playing anyway because it is fun. It is another thing to pay money in the hope that others do the same and make it fun.

So many subscription games that should be more successful that SHK just because of their name had to abandon the subscription business model.

Having to pay means that the game will have fewer players, fewer players makes the game less fun, a less fun game means fewer players, and on and on in a downward spiral.
We need more incentives to help prevent one house world rule in this game!

The old STK maps will die out, this is a much more realistic game play. Who wants to stay on a world for up to a year or more?

Things I have noticed:
- the crazy flag spawn rate keeps stewards more active
- carders have incentive to power level due to absurd # of towns
- I predict war will not be more common without ID, actually the contrary since it's so easy to build up again
- If you miss a day, it actually matters now.

The Domination Map style is a true success, but would flourish more with a larger map of all of Europe.

We are so tired of these regional maps. Isn't it?

Don't think making it larger would get things working with the short amount of time the World has until it's reset. There would be too many groups spread out that it would take forever to Raze them to balance the War between everyone (as it is now).

Stronghold Kingdoms was always a slow, strategic and political crawl it was never a fast paced game and for some players that became an issue. This Domination style introduces the ability to accomplish a lot in a shorter space of time and because this is new it will be under scrutiny.

There will probably be more maps/worlds generated under a new or possibly tweaked rule-set. A map on the scale of Europe just doesn't sound feasible on a time limited world, especially not if the time limit is 100 days!

Fully agree with the posters above.

If additionally an in-game penalty for the leading house(s) could be implemented to make the game more exciting until the end that would be great.

As I said in another thread: the leading house should feel like a rich kid in a tough neighbourhood, keeping your wealth and glory should be increasingly difficult as the game progresses.
