stronghold kingdoms not responding error help

Hello, for several weeks I have an error that happens every 5 seconds when I am playing and lasts approximately 56 seconds. What happens is the screen freezes and says fortress realms not responding and it happens every 5 seconds and i tried everything from deleting the whole folder, installing again nothing works.
What should I do because playing like this is impossible, I tried installing the one from steam and nothing
