Just because there are players who cracked the code and have thousands of razes, lt doesn't mean that the map as a whole should be near impossible

The map became harder than ever before, yet do you see any drop in raze count?

The only thing that's dropping is the player count, don't be surprised if the next Wolf map is going to have less than 1k players
Your game is dying, listen to your players, or listen to the sound of the shovel digging this game's grave

Here's how you could maintain the difficulty of the map without scaring players away

1. Reduce glory points gain by a minimum of 50%. or change how the AI influences the parish, a rat can send one monk, and he'll magically get 45 points

2. limit wolf invasions or at least aim them at player controlled countries, not aim them at the whole fuc**** map

A. make the wolf captain attack easier, 1.2k army that has 400 catapults is not cool at all
