Final Age Prizes

Post by DeadBoy »

When the final age update was first released the Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes were announced. Now on the SHK wiki, different prizes are displayed. Could someone clearly explain which prizes will be provided at the end of which servers?

So are you saying that these are the prizes that will be presented for every world that ends from now? This is in contrast with what has been previously announced. So is Firefly now going back on their word?

If so will the prizes continue to be reduced?

Let's hope so. It was a poorly thought out decision to award people simply for being a prince with one village . . . . and was bound to be exploited (as it clearly was). Huge prizes were awarded to people who came to a world in the final days, after being power ranked to prince level by their friends. Many contributed 0% to the evolution/dynamics of a world and yet were let into "winning" houses by their friends on other worlds to grab the silver and gold awards.

Too bad FF can't find a way to incorporate the level of activity a players has or the amount of time spent on any particular world to help determine who is eligible for the prizes.

Well they could bind it to the amount of achievements - let's say 220 achievements would make a player eligible for something. As a regular player, you can easily get 220 achievements within a year, but as someone who simply wants to abuse the system to claim prices, this will most probably not work out... ;)

This accurately sums up the reasons for the change and we've got some additions to the game coming this year which will greatly reward active players.

Not at all. The Final Era has a different prize and future special game world types may have different prizes. These are the prizes for the Final Age only.

The adjustment was made and announced last year and only worlds which were in Age 4 or earlier at the time (April 2017) would be impacted. Worlds which were in Age 5 or later would still receive the prize which had been first announced. This was done in communication with the community and the Wiki was updated to reflect only the current prize to mitigate confusion. No changes have been made since then.
