I would bombard the walls with catapults and archers to take out the defenders while a small elite force built tunnels under the wall to collapse them under their own weight, if gunpowder is available I would use this in the tunnels once the men were clear to blast the walls down.

If I'm in an area with calcareous rocks, a large amount of strong acid would do the trick, unless the lord of the castle was extremely wealthy and known for importing the stone they used to build the castle. Even then the acid might still work.

In game use your awesome upgraded kingship army of 600 catapults,150 archers and 100 pike. The hard part is * the catapults in the easy part is watching his castles walls be demolished=).

Out of game different type of catapults were used to bring the walls down depending on castle type. Mining was was used for stealth and explosives brought down the wall.

200 catapoles wit a cat Foley from a captain and 300 Pikemen and lots of guards in the castle incase it didn't work cause someone's gonna be mad
