Are you making enough resources to increase the rations by x2 and x3? If you run out of resources then it will have a negative impact, as will raising taxes.

You ask a question with very little details, then you are abrasive at someone who offers a response. This is not conducive to other players responding to your question.
If your car stops running I will tell you to check the gas gauge. Not because you are likely to run out of gas, but because it is the easiest item to check.

at X1 you have 3-4 different foods.
at x2 or x3 you can only afford to offer 1-2 types of food since your other ones dont make enough to meet the proportions.
check your stockpile and see which type of foods you need to build more off...
