is there even a point to starting new on world 1?
my main is world 7. but i decided to try world 1 as im still a new player and wanted to see what the new age thing was about. my village is close to the area i have it in world 7. but in world 7 i only have snake castles around. here every castle is wolf. meaning when one spawns it wrecks my tiny castle.
then the parish will destroy the wolf castle which knocked me up from level 4 to 12 in a day.

Well starting out in an established world will allow you to rank much faster and there will be far less competition for wolf lairs and stashes when doing quests. On the other hand all the AIs will be to large to kill until you hit earl or so. Plus starting in a second age world, you will find it harder to make food/resources due to parishes not rebuilding them after the second age wipe-out.

Which is a shame. The second age effectively kills off any world.

Hi, i am new to game, and new to world 1, started around 2 and a half weeks ago, i am level 11 now soon 12.
Didnt have any problems, bandits did crash a bit of my castle 2-3 times. But i do manage to defend now.
I had a luck of getting an awesume liege lord, who helped me a lot, with everything.
As far as the wolf castle is concerned, it did start * me aswell, but i asked high level players around via email for help, just said guys im new , just started, please help and kill this. and they did.
So yes in some cases it can be hard, but belive it or not, there are some nice people that will help. You should be nice and help them aswell should they need it when you level up.

Well it has the most dedicated players and veterans, it just depends on what conditions you want to play in.

I'd say World 1 shouldn't be available to new players or at least they be warned before they join it, so if they are coming rom another World they can better understand what they are moving into...any pop-ups most people would just close it and never read it. I would think a Warning Email would work well for them so they would definitely read it to see the nightmare they are about to join.

I'll order a census to be taken by all occupants immediately!
