It looks like Raptr is offering $10 of in-game items for Stronghold Kingdoms for those that download the game or bind their accounts to Amazon (looks like Amazon just recently opened a F2P game store). Details can be found here:

Hum that could explain why the server seem to be kind of busy right now.
We need more incentives to help prevent one house world rule in this game!

I believe the Amazon offer has ended. I asked about this for a player in chat and was told it was likely finished.

That offer has been out for about 6 + months...I got it a while ago, so I'd guess it's expired as well..
