Brewing advice

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the research tree Brewing. Is it any use maxing it out or investing a couple of points in it? Will it make a big difference in terms of production? I am already producing 7+k with 5 farms , but don't want to lose space by adding one more (although I have idle peasants). So just to know ... Thanks
