Gaining flags for building in capitals?

You click on a Parish on the map and press the 'axes' icon to attack it. The castle window opens - you place your troop from the white line and then press 'launch attack' button....you can do this as many times as there are flags in the parish to capture. The flags then come back to the parish where you are attacking from.
