Treasure castles

Is there any tips on doing these? Can you make your pikes or peasants to concentrate on a certain area? I know you can with cats I've attacked a certain treasure castle for 3 days and my army just walks past the chest without breaking the wall infrint of it

use some cats to break down the wall in front of the chest so the troops walk straight into it
