Hello!
I had a situation where I was going to cap another players village. Because of low captain speed it took about 5h to get to village so I wasnt active when attack took place. In reports, it shows me that capture was succesful but unfortunatly there wasnt village anymore. I think the other player abandoned his/her village prior to attack.
My question is, why do I had to pay honour in this kind of situation. Im ok with that i couldnt get village, but what for I had to pay honour
Village abandoned prior capture.

Re: Village abandoned prior capture.
You can't abandon a village if there is another player attacking it.
More than likely another player saw that you were capturing that village and razed it before your captain arrived. This is actually a very common strategy to prevent an enemy from invading into your county.
If you check closely, no honor was actually deducted for your failed attempt to capture that destroyed village. The honor cost isn't deducted until a capture attack actually lands.
I have seen several players exploit this at Crown Prince rank to get 12 or more villages when they don't actually have enough honor to pay the "more than 10 villages" honor penalty. It just puts them severely into negative honor, and they wont be able to attack any other players from their villages for a long time.

Re: Village abandoned prior capture.
thanks for your reply. I forwarded my report to you Waywardchampion and i can assure you, i have paid honour for this "capture"
It is possible, that someone razed it before my cap, but the fact is I had to pay for attacking empty slot.

Thanks for the report.
It does appear that you paid the honor cost for attacking that destroyed village.
Whenever I have had a similar type situation, my honor cost has never been deducted, so I really don't know what to tell you
Perhaps there is some other circumstance that we just aren't seeing in your report.

You always pay the honour for attacking (ransacking, razing, capturing, pillaging, ...) a village at once, so when sending the army. But you only pay the honour for the additional village slot (starting from 11th village) once you've got the village.WaywardChampion wrote:Thanks for the report.
