Update Contents

New Cards

  • A batch of 20 brand new cards has been released!

All the new cards can be found in the random packs and are available as free cards from veteran levels.

Including:

Image Card Name Card Description Image Card Name Card Description
Image Expert Iron Smelting Large increase in iron output. Image Expert Armour Working Large increase in armour output.
Image Expert Salt Working Large increase in salt delivered to the keep. Image Expert Fine Attire Large increase in silk delivered to the keep.
Image Expert Protection Increases the length of interdiction given by monks. Image Expert Excommunication Increases the length of any issued excommunications.
Image Expert Absolution Bigger reduction when absolving excommunications. Image Huge Vegetables Haul Adds a massive amount of vegetables to your granary.
Image Huge Fish Haul Adds a massive amount of fish to your granary. Image Huge Ale Haul Adds a massive amount of ale to your inn.
Image Huge Pitch Haul Adds a massive amount of pitch to your stockpile. Image Huge Silk Haul Adds a massive amount of silk to your keep.
Image Expert Guardhouses More troops can be placed in the castle, whilst card is in play. Image Expert Stone Structures Stronger stone towers and gatehouses.
Image Expert Moats Deeper moats, that take longer to fill in. Image Expert Oil Pots Oil spreads much further from the pot.
Image Mercenaries A regiment of swordsmen. Image Monks Large A large group of monks arrive at the castle.
Image Instant Blacksmith Place this building instantly and for free. Image Instant Tailors Workshop Place this building instantly and for free.

And I am out. That's it. done. The defense cards where broken enough but adding more monking cards? Adding bloody more cards for the heavy carders? you know what I'm out. I would say its been fun but it hasn't.

P2W strikes again!

No wonder all of the 'most helpful' reviews on Steam when I looked a day or 2 ago were negative and complaining of the p2w nature of this game.

I'm a stubborn fool who believed stronghold would see the error of their ways. I stayed for the friends that I surrounded myself with. I Stayed because of the non heavy carders that stood up against everything the carders did to world 9 (Tokhaar, Miladey Skye, Grandy and the rest of the Hammers of * and my recruits from anarchy) but this is the final straw I'm out.

With expert stone structures expert oil pots and expert moats a heavy carder wont even have to ID anymore and when they do they will get double the amount we do. FP is the one thing we had half a chance with but the monking cards broke the game and now This level of defense cards will make sure that the game is now strictly pay to win.

it takes 9-11 full attacks to take a heavy carder in the current live game, with these new cards the amount to break and raze a fully built castle will be near 15 attacks that's around 900 cats and over 4500 archers. oh yeah and they can just buy a charter and card up a new castle and village INSTANTLY. then we have the faith system, the only balanced part of the game and firefly have just shat all over it
