I can’t get my reinforcements back

I just recently bought a new village for the first time and so I sent some troops from my first village to my new village so that I could attack some wolf liars nearby. But after I discovered that I can’t use them for attack, only for defense, I want them back to my first village. However I can’t seem to find a way to do this. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? What do I do?

Nevermind, I found it out. So for others who may be confused in future; It’s sort of a bizarre way of doing it if you ask me but you just go to your menu, then to units, tap on the three people, and then select the reinforcements from the castle they are currently at, and then press confirm.
