wolf invasion attack on heretic fault

i just had a 5x wolf invasion on heretic , I repaired the walls inbetween attacks on the fourth invasion I rebuilt and had troops on walls , in the 5th invasion my castle appeared but with no troops at all on the walls and was capped , I don't mind losing it fairly but does the wolf have to cheat to gain captures

when villages cost 30 mil honour to replace its not easy to keep replacing them and to lose one in such a way is just not right
