Spawn slow / ai castles

What is going on with the slowness with castle spawning.

Wolf spawns are terrible as well.

Sometimes after a castle does show up (rat , etc), and the castle disappears after clearing, it takes 24 hours for anything to spawn again.

Either increase spawn rates, or it may be bye bye to this barren wasteland.

You want AI castles to spawn more frequently ?

Yes.

Not sure what you mean with your question.

Castles do not spawn in my area at all.

Rare.

A full day goes by, until a castle spawns. A.I. Castle. i.e. Rat, snake.

It's too slow. Not the kind of game I want to play, waiting up to 24 hours for a castle to spawn. Of course, this is by design I'm sure.
But it's a deterrent to playtime.

Just annoying is all.

And it's not because other players are attacking them. I log on constantly, only to see no castles.

Ah well.

there are other games to play.

Higher order castles only spawn if the parish is "strong enough" to deal with them.

Most parishes only have rats at the moment, and these are quite random (about once a week, it seems) - I haven't seen a Snake in my area of the world, because the parishes are quite underdeveloped.

And i'm pretty sure this has always been the case.

The spawn rate needs fixing. I count 3-4 wolf lairs in an area with close to 100 parishes. It's barren. Treasure castles sure. And they are more common.
Doesn't make sense. Pally castles and treasure castles plenty, but no enemy castles.

It's backwards.

The rates are awful. and broken.

I'm not playing the world so I can't comment on this specific issue, but I have played lots of world launches and what you are describing is pretty normal for new worlds. Players eat up the AI as fast as it comes out. There are respawn timers for each type and i think the wolf lairs are the shortest with like 12 hours or something.

Bigger picture though, I think AI spawn rates are broken. In early worlds, there is never really anything to attack because the top players gobble them up. In old worlds, they are often overrun with wolf castles no one wants to clear and people rarely even bother with bandits and wolves. I would advocate for some sort of dynamic timer that accounts for the number of active players in the parish / county / country / game world.


tl;dr - what you are seeing sucks, but is pretty much what happens early on.

Hope the devs see this. A dynamic timer, or one that is smarter anyways.

Just banquet then. everyone is pretty much ranking slowly.

Play the wolf world while you wait and get some cards. Lots of rat castles to attack to get cards
