Global Conflict Weekly Briefing

Post by DavidSpy » Sat Dec 12, 2015 7:42 am

Hello fellow Strongholders,

I do a vlog series covering the political happenings in GC1 on a weekly basis. With the apparent and disappointing demise of 'The Global Citizen' I figured this would be an opportune time to shamelessly promote myself.

I have covered GC1 since day 1 and, while my information might not be 100% accurate, I'm no johnny-come-lately. As per usual I hope that by promoting the series here it will give more players a general idea of what's going on in GC1 politically and hopefully garner some more support in the form of information sources.

You can find the current GC1 Briefing playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... ignfvuGLOV

New videos are scheduled to be published every Sunday @ 10PM UTC.

you said you got not many sources on h19 side. just mail me if you need some infos;)
btw in your last video you talked about players from low populated servers who got a far too big ego. who did you mean there?;)

OK David I just watched one if your episodes for the first time, it is pretty good. You put a lot of thought into the analysis, went out of your way to be objective. Attaboy.

I appreciate the offer and would willingly take you up on it but I am not aware of what handle you play under ingame so you would have to mail me instead.

In regards to ego: not all worlds have equally skilled players at the top, the less active a world is, the less competitive it is and when that's the case it's easier for a player who is mediocre to rise to the top. That player soaks it all up and the ego goes to their head so they proceed to charge into a much larger and more active world with that same overabundance of confidence in their abilities. I wasn't pointing fingers at any particular player but rather the delicate ego of the playerbase in general, and that not all worlds are equal in terms of skill.

My thoughts stand naked in the public forum, I do not attempt to reserve myself from deserving criticism but before a critique is leveled at least hear me out. I'm glad to hear you aren't the type to dismiss an effort offhand due to potential preconceptions.

I think he puts in good effort, his perspectives on some confrontations may not always be correct but then hes going off the info he has. I think a few of us who seem to end up on the inside of the politics could help by giving him briefs on what we know from our side. If he gets briefs from multiple people in different houses he can put together a fairly accurate and unbiased video.

I like them, I think he does a good job and it comes off as this is whats going on, not this is my view on it.

Star Reaper you playing GC1? I remember you from W7. You likely don't remember me, I was a little fish in H10/18
The worlds do not die because of Firefly opening new worlds, the worlds die because the players on those worlds let them.
