The weather is nuts. I understand in the England/Ireland/Scottish map that it rains all day. I can understand that Washington State and Florida also get a lot of rain... but New Mexico? This game has given that state more than a decades worth of rainfall in the first month. Lizards are drowning, and scorpions are starting to evolve gills in a valiant effort to survive the shock to their ecosystem. Before Greenpeace starts picketing your servers, think what you are doing to the continent!

If everythings gets so easy what will be the fun of playing game? With more difficulties games become more fun.
And its doesnot matter you talk about US or UK map.
As david said a weather is same for a whole world.

Talking about USA 1.
If its raining in Mexico it will be raining in whole USA. The game weather doesnot depend on real weather like if you live in mexico and see that outside your window its too sunny dnt expect the game to have a sunny weather too. Weather is same for a whole world.

Also when you start on a new world just as a begineer's help firefly provides you 30+ bonus popularity so you can grow fast.
10 - begineer help
10 - welcome bonus
10 - new player bonus

Weather is still there but it doesnot show up to new player just to help them so they dnt get any negative popularity, also the ai's dnt show up and dnt effect popularity. But it is for some limited time and as soon as the time runs out that +30 pop goes out and you start seeing weather and other things and your popularity is effected by it.

Someone said that weather is something you can't control, and while that's true, you can affect what it does to your village. If the weather is bad, drop your taxes. And in time, you'll notice the weather less and less as you research and build your villages. I'm almost at the point where I'm not concerned how big a negative the weather is dropping my popularity. I can deal with it and continue to grow.

I got 7 villages in one parish and 4 days worth of +50 monk blessings for popularity. How sweet it is, I dont feel this stormy weather you speak of

I've played for a long time, and it always seems like there is more "negative" weather than there is positive...

although on world 5, its been on a +24 bright sunshine for 5 days.... but it took like 2 weeks of negativity to get that lmao.

Oh this old chesnut!

We are now back to heavy rain -24 pop for 24hrs, from storms -30 pop.

One thing I have noticed is that people on the server are less active when the bad weather strikes, and as a result spend less on cards, so why is FF shooting themselves in the foot with this??

That's when you should be more active! During periods of bad weather, I've taken the opportunity to hit enemies knowing they will be slower to replace troops. And if you know they aren't online, its the perfect time to ransack and even smash a hole in their castle to give them the minus for not having their keep enclosed. Good times!

Perhaps during bad weather armies should move slower and castles have a defence bonus to simulate attacking armies getting bogged down in the mud (I believe that at the battle of Agincourt there was heavy rain beforehand and the French cavalry became bogged leaving them at the mercy of the English archers).

There is no way the weather is random, the number of negative days far outweigh the number of positives.

Show me the data you have collected over the previous 27 days.
