The attacks will probably be from an AI Siege Camp. Peacetime only prevents players attacking you. The Siege Camp will arrive in the parish and send out approximately 4 attacks, roughly once per day and then leave. The AI Siege gives you honour for a successful defense. If you go into the Research Tree, not the "Research Branch" you will see all the levels. When you see a white number above a level it denotes the rank needed before you can research it. http://help.strongholdkingdoms.com/index.php/ResearchI have reached level 6 but I can only research 3 areas and then I'm blocked. I can't find anything on the subject when I search, or more exactly I find people squabbling about being blocked.
