Safest places in terms of locations tend to be the furthest back in any direction

Scotland - Caithness
England - Kent or Cornwall
Ireland - Kerry or Cork
Wales - None haha

I used to think being in a small county/island was dangerous but if you have a highly active player base there it is actually not too bad as everyone can watch out for each other. In a bigger county it's hard to keep invaders out but it's also difficult to flip because it is so big.
