About Archers in Turrets...

The range for archers and turrets are the same (at 13 tiles). Archers shoot through walls and thus shoot through turrets as well, in saying that... yes it the archers inside cannot be destroyed until the turret itself is destroyed UNLESS of course archers shoot the other archers within the turret
