Good shout Priest, I have actually read all the books as well and been following that story about uhtred for the last 10 year. I think they will definitely have a 2nd season and the story itself gets better as the characters develop more, love the shield wall battles as well. I am a big fan of anything set in that time period.

We all have watched movies (not the T.V series) that inspired us to play Stronghold Kingdoms

Here are some of my favorites I own

Gladiator
Joan of arc
Kingdom of Heaven
King Arthur
In the name of the King
First Knight

many more, but I leave that to you to list

You have a good taste in moves, so more you watched, if not, should:

The Last Samurai
Troy
Brave Heart
Little Big Soldier
47 Ronin
Robin Hood (2010)

I love the movie "Vanilla clouds", he inspires me and forced me to think about many issues that I did not dare to ask myself.

New movie out on Netflix

Outlaw King

Takes place in England and Scotland

Picks up with the death of William Wallace and how the Scots try to unite a second time to take on England. Scotlands worst enemy is itself it seems as there is much division there at this time period

It was a O.K watch with 2 major battle scenes and both are lop sided battles

Final note is I do wish I had a new UK map to give a go at after watching it. Although my past has always led me to Wales and Rhydmain parish , I might just have to give Scotland a go around next time ;)
