Was the captain supposed to attack at some point? Still largest waste of catapults I have seen at least so far.

Maybe it's to point out that shouldn't that keep be a smouldering rubble in any sort of semi-somewhat-realistic portrayal of what catapults would do to that building.
I think it's more silly that 499 catapults can't actually win that fight.
Although I know it's all for balance and what not. It's still darn silly.
