I have been attacking this village and on one of the occasions I send an army to reinforce not attack by accident. I want to bring them back and have got on the reinforcement screen and pressed 'retrieve' but nothing has happened and I can't get them back. Am I doing something wrong or is their an issue with the game?

I dont think you can retrieve them before they actually get there but might be wrong anyway if they are really reinforcement and they are there they will show then you can retrieve. If they are VASSAL troops you cannot retrieve them EVER.

Sorry I meant to say they are currently stationed in my enemies castle as reinforcements. I want to bring them back and have clicked the button retrieve on the reinforcements screen and nothing happens. It's a big army which was meant to ransack them but now they are stationed there and won't return back to my castle.
