Stuffing parish with village troops.
I'm seeing Stewarts stuffing their parish with troops on World 1. I've sent troops to mine and I don't see what it helps. I have the 25 troops you get with a new parish. I've ill sent 5 more and I don't see any extra troops. So why send them or what is it they know that I don't?

In what way is it relevant to the Third Age?

Again... this made meDavidSpy wrote:That's the funny part, it isn't. Those players are gearing up for a total parish reset like at the start of the Second Age but the Third Age contains no such reset.AuKhan wrote:In what way is it relevant to the Third Age?

In the Wiki it says: "NB: Please note that all features of the game world other than those mentioned above will remain as is at the time of the start of the second age. Players will retain all their villages, research, cards, points etc."
Key words are "...start of second age."
This seems to say that there will be a total reset to the status that existed at the beginning of the Second Age.

this helps in a way. that if u reinforce from a village to any parish it is like reinforcing your vassal. once the troops enter the parish they dnt use your village unit cap anymore. This is very usefull strategically in wars. Like at times i rein my frnd's parishes with catas when they dnt have gold in them, i send them full 400-500 armies in their parishes which they then use to attack, this way i provide them full drills but i dnt get involved in wars. Once barracks cap is full all the units u send after that go to waste.
keep in mind when u rein a parish its barrack space is not updated until ur army enters the parish.

Re: Stuffing parish with village troops.
I reinforce my parishes with catapults always and just use the parish gold for the troops, it is much easier to make armies that way.Better then vassals, even though I use vassals 10x more then parishes now.
Also Counties, provinces and kingships its hard to get gold from so you gotta reinforce the parish if you wish to send armies from it. At least I reinforce my parishes with my village troops, don't know if anyone else does

Yes. I also reinforce my parishes.
It costs about 3x as much gold to recruit troops at the parish.
So, it is much cheaper to reinforce from your villages.

I think the Wiki should say that everything else will remain as it was at the END of the Second Age.
