Oh for my Parishes, I take out the Wolfs, Pigs, Snakes and Rats, when necessary, but I ask if anyone else wants them first for a quest...if they don't respond I take them out to make everyone happy to keep voting for me and I still tax them 9X. So they never get mad...been working fine so far...

Just take the parish. I just did that as the steward is a lazy *. Why worry about their threats, its pixels and just a game
I don't even have a house or faction, solo player and i like the fun of having threats etc, makes the game more fun ......

edit: if i get the same experience where they don't maintain the parish i will take it, raze the castle, kill all the troops,take take or waste the gold, steal the resources etc, up to them really... at the end of the day its a war game and i came for the wars lol

what would be nice is to be able to withold your taxes from Stewards who only milk the Parish members for their own gain and spend absolutely nothing on upkeep of that Parish, you know the actual duty of being a Steward. But of course some players would opt to never pay taxes. And this applies to all Stewards and not just 1 particular House. If you want to use the fast, free attack bonuses that you get from the Parish Army then you resupply that army from your own resources and not expect the Parish members to supply your War efforts. Maybe a system can be developed that allows you to not pay taxes but therefore remove your right to have a vote in that Parish.

LOL!! Now that's funny...gives new meaning to the word "peasant!" For those who wish not to pay taxes they should come up with a new title..."The beggar" class!

I think this is a great idea, an option to withhold taxes and have some kind of parish restriction due to that like not voting. There are very few stewards who actually run the parish for the benefit of those in the parish, it is a very selfish "tax for that houses war effort" and not for those who pay the tax, just like real life really

If that happens im quite sure most of the parishes im at and dont own will have no gold rofl.
