It is not outdated info because the specific amount of max village changes with the AGE the world is in and that is specified in the wiki with the AGE change.
in age 1 you cannot have more than 25.

So if you want to know more about specific ruleset for the age you are in in your world your playing click on it near top middle of your screen you will get a popup window with the new rule set for that age that will also include how many villages you can now OWN.
